Health Studies

Our aim: Ignite a passion in every young person by creating memories, both inside and outside the classroom, to give them the knowledge and confidence they need to make a lifelong commitment to their physical, mental and social well-being.

Curriculum Overview

In Year 9 students can choose the Health, Wellbeing and Movement option which aims to develop their knowledge and understanding of factors which impact our growth and development, allowing students to take responsibility in making decisions about their own physical health and well-being.

Health and Social Care BTEC courses at Level 2 (for Years 10 – 11) and Level 3 (for Years 12 – 13) offer a pathway that feeds individuals’ curiosity through exploring the healthcare and social care sectors, developing knowledge and applying it to relevant contexts.
